This powerful new tool built into your cloud ERP system leverages advanced artificial intelligence to automate routine tasks, provide actionable insights, and provide immediate answers to your questions in a way that’s faster and easier than ever before.

What is Acumatica AI Assistant?
The new AI Assistant provides a chat window inside Acumatica ERP where you can ask questions in plain language to get immediate answers and explore your data without having to search through multiple screens, inquiries and reports. AI Assistant can return answers as text summaries, tables, lists, charts, and pivot tables.
With just a click after submitting your inquiry, you can then jump directly to the relevant forms and records from the responses provided. What’s more, you can maximize the accuracy and relevance of the answers by controlling which generic inquiries the AI assistant uses and how those inquiries are described in business language that’s familiar within your company.
What Can You Do with AI Assistant?
Working with this powerful new tool is easy and straightforward. Here are just a few examples of how you can leverage AI Assistant to work more efficiently:
Ask questions in “plain language”: You can type a question using language you’d use with colleagues, such as ‘What is this month’s total income?’ or ‘List 10 open invoices that were modified recently.’
Drill down to records with just a click: If an answer includes the record ID or name, this ID or name is displayed as a link. Clicking the link opens the record for further investigation and insight.
Turn responses into dashboards and pivot tables: For certain answers, the AI Assistant offers to perform actions for you, such as creating a widget from a chart or generating a pivot table and placing it on a new dashboard.
Keep related questions together: Conversations are grouped into chats. Each chat stores your previous questions and answers so you can return to your research later or build on it to dig even deeper into your inquiry.
Using Acumatica AI Assistant
To start working with your AI Assistant, click the “AI Assistant” button located in the top pane of your screen. The chat window opens with the three predefined prompts. You can click one of these common prompts that are contextual to the current screen or type your own free-form question.
In the screenshot example above, suppose that you want to see the 10 most recent open invoices. AI Assistant will quickly list the results in a table.
You can then click any customer ID link to open the customer record in the main working area. Or you can dig even deeper and ask AI Assistant for more details. While you’re reviewing different forms and records in the main working area, you can continue your conversation with the AI Assistant as the chat box remains open and ready to continue your analysis.
Based on the results of your invoice inquiry, you also have the option of reviewing the results as text, a table, or a chart. The columns in the chart are also links to the corresponding records. Plus, you can click View Chart to open a dashboard with this widget. Lastly, Acumatica AI Assistant can also organize data into a pivot table.
A Note About Managing Chats
Each time you click a pre-defined prompt or type a new one, the AI Assistant creates a chat record. As additional screens and results display, you can continue asking additional questions in the same chat, go back to the list of chats to change the subject, or start a new one entirely. This makes it easier to return later and pick up where you left off.
