Acumatica 2025 R1 is now available featuring innovative enhancements across the ERP product. Notable additions include a re-imagined user interface, an expanded and enhanced mobile experience, continued advancements in machine-learning and AI-powered capabilities, and hundreds of user-requested industry features for construction, project management, and more.
Here’s a quick look at some key new features in the latest version of Acumatica Cloud ERP which was released in March 2025.
March 2026 Update: Acumatica 2026 R1 Now Available!
A New Modern UI
Acumatica 2025 R1 introduces the much-awaited modernized user interface (UI) (originally previewed in Acumatica 2024 R2). Here’s just part of what makes the new UI so great:
- A sleek, refreshed look with enhanced aesthetics and color accents for data elements.
- Launch screens and execute tasks with faster software performance and quicker response times.
- New options to personalize workflows and customize forms to match your needs.
- Use drag-and-drop to rearrange tabs and field elements, reconfigure grid columns, hide fields you don’t use, and more.
- Find data faster with improved filters and saved settings to boost productivity.
- A responsive design layout and screens that adapt to any device you use.
AI-Powered Recognition of Project-Related Documents
In previous versions of Acumatica ERP Construction Edition, the AP document recognition functionality did not support the project-related AP documents. Therefore, any email received with attached invoices related to projects had to be manually entered in the system.
But with Acumatica 2025 R1, AP document recognition (originally introduced in 2024) has been extended to Projects and Construction so you can:
- Select project-related data for bills that are not linked to commitments.
- Include project-related data in the bills linked to purchase orders with receipts or without receipts.
- Automatically associate purchase orders or subcontracts with AP bill lines and populate the project budget key (you can also link AP document lines to purchase orders manually if no exact matching document was found).
Updates for Finance
In the area of core accounting and finance, Acumatica 2025 R1 introduces a nice range of new or enhanced features. Here’s a summary of key updates:
Payment Receipts for Transactions
After a payment is processed in Acumatica ERP, you can now issue proof of purchase to your customers by generating payment receipts for released transactions (not previously available in earlier releases). On the Payments and Applications and Cash Sales forms, you can send an email with a payment receipt or print it out.
Record Finance Charges for Refunds
Starting in Acumatica ERP 2025 R1, you now have the option of adding charges to refunds and voided refunds on the Payments and Applications form. The charge amount can either be a positive or negative value.
Validation of Acumatica Payments Imported from Shopify
You can now import payments and refunds from e-commerce systems into Acumatica ERP (more specifically, this functionality was not previously available in the Acumatica Shopify integration prior to the 2025 R1 release).
Projects and Construction Edition Updates
Some of the key new construction industry features in Acumatica Projects and Construction include:
AIA Report with Time and Material Lines
In Acumatica ERP Construction Edition 2025 R1, the AIA report functionality now enables you to include time and material lines of pro forma invoices in the AIA reports in addition to progress billing lines.
Enhancements to the Cost Projection Functionality
New functionality enables you to create cost projections, calculate project margins, and analyze over- and underbilling for projects for a specific date. The new Cost Projection by Date form and the corresponding Cost Projection by Date list of records have been added in Acumatica 2025 R1.
Improved Construction and Accounting Reports
Improvements have been made to multiple AR and AP reports and inquiry forms to improve their usability for construction companies. In addition, the Construction Bonding report as well as the Subcontract Audit report have been revised and enhanced. These improvements cover both the user interface to generate the reports as well as the presentation and layout of the reports themselves.
Improvements in Tracking Inventory
Side panel tabs have been added on the Projects form that displays current inventory for a selected project or for all projects.

Mobile Interface Improvements
Upgraded mobile capabilities ensure that you can access ERP functions on the go, with improved visibility into operation and transaction processes.
Improved Report Automation
A new email notification tab provides access to email templates and report schedules.
Importing eCommerce Orders
You can now import orders from Shopify and BigCommerce stores without importing customer data (when not needed) using a generic guest customer instead.
Manufacturing Enhancements
A nice collection of enhancements in the Acumatica Manufacturing module include improved due date handling in production orders, enhanced material availability and production readiness tracking, new graphical-based production scheduling views, and much more.
Inventory and Order Management Enhancements
A variety of improvements in Inventory and Order Management include the ability to capture weights of packages from DeviceHub, added attribute support for lot/serial numbers that enable tracking and managing unique inventory characteristics, improved processes for warehouse transfers with streamlined handling of transfer receipts and put-away, easier correction of discrepant PO item or quantity receipts, more control over product visibility and pricing through the Shopify integration, and more.
