Acumatica CRM Enhancements
The customer relationship management (CRM) component of Acumatica received some nice productivity enhancements in the 2023 R2 release. Here’s a quick summary of some key new features in Acumatica CRM:
Acumatica 2023 R2 introduces the ability to assign sales territories to leads, contacts, business accounts, and opportunities. This includes the ability to configure the automatic assignment of a sales territory each time a user creates a new lead, contact, business account, or opportunity. The ability to assign based on geographical location in earlier releases was more cumbersome and time-consuming.
Previously, the creation of a return order based on a customer case took a great deal of time and effort. But now, you can create a return order directly from the Cases form which significantly streamlines the process.
Other Acumatica CRM enhancements include improved duplicate email validation, better tracking and assignment of email communication activities, auto-creation of leads and contacts during file upload to marketing lists and campaigns, updates to the mass email functionality, and more.
New Acumatica Payments
This latest release introduces Acumatica Payments – a new plug-in that supports popular customer payment methods including credit cards, electronic funds transfer (EFT), gift cards, loyalty programs, click-to-pay links, and more. Whether you run an online store, collect payment at the point of sale (POS), or schedule recurring payments, this new feature connects Acumatica ERP with the banking network to streamline workflow and make payment processing easier for both you and your customers.

Warehouse Efficiency Metrics
What if you could calculate, track, and estimate the productivity of warehouse workers in order to help streamline your fulfillment process? With Acumatica 2023 R2, you can. That’s because a new Efficiency of Picking and Packing inquiry form has been added that provides statistics that can help warehouse managers analyze key metrics and improve warehouse efficiency.
The new Efficiency of Picking and Packing form displays the following information:
- The number of processed shipments, lines, and packages
- The total quantity of picked or packed items
- The number of useful operations
- The overall efficiency in Pick and Pack modes or in Pack-only mode of shipment processing on the Pick, Pack, and Ship form
This data can be displayed for either a specific warehouse or all warehouses. The inquiry form tracks both paper-based and paperless picking and packing. Plus, you can further extend the inquiry with selection criteria that can display data by user, by shipment, and by day.
New Approach to Sales Allocation Management
Acumatica ERP 2023 R2 introduces the ability to mass-allocate items on a new Manage Sales Allocations form. This new approach to the allocation of stock items in sales order lines provides for two options in the Action box including:
Allocate Sales Orders: When this action is selected and a warehouse is specified in the Warehouse box in the Selection area, the table shows the sales order lines for which item allocation is required from this warehouse if the available-for-shipping quantity of the item is greater than zero. You can review the quantity that is available for shipping, the un-allocated quantity, and the quantity to allocate for each line on the form.
De-allocate Sales Orders: When this action is selected and a warehouse is specified in the Warehouse box in the Selection area, the table shows the sales order lines that have item allocation for this warehouse. You can then review the allocated quantity and the quantity to de-allocate for each line in the table. This new mass allocation process represents a significant workflow improvement over previous Acumatica releases that required you to go into each Sales Order individually to manage inventory allocation. But with the release of Acumatica 2023 R2, sales order allocations are now conveniently located in one place.
Project Management and Construction Updates
A collection of minor updates that create major efficiency gains in Acumatica Construction Edition and project management include:
- Support for inclusive taxes in pro forma invoices and project-related documents.
- Enhanced row-level security in projects that provides better flexibility for the configuration of project visibility.
- Side panels added to project and construction forms that provide additional detail and drill-down capabilities.
- Improvements in the photo logs within both Acumatica ERP and the Acumatica Mobile App now allows you to upload multiple photos at one time along with an overall streamlined upload experience.
- New ability to edit the retainage information in the subcontracts and purchase orders that are linked to a change order.
